The hearty, ruby red colors offer a chewy type wine that brings back a mixture of the earth and fruit in the finish. Belhurst Merlot, 2004

'forest floor and peat' creeping through on the mid-palate. A hint of vanilla
lingers onto the long smooth finish. The subtleties of aroma, flavor and
texture are all so well intermingled in this elegant wine. Pair with filet mignon,
venison, grilled or roasted beef and other spicy dishes. RS, 0%

Belhurst Merlot, 2005
*2007 New York Wine & Food Classic - Silver
The complex nose of our Merlot ‘05 has strong scents of smoke and cedar. As you enter into the mouthfeel a robust, chewy black cherry flavor is gained. The finish carries the flavors through into many different black fruit style notes. The tight dry finish is what allows this wine to be laid down for years to come.
