BELHURST WINERY RELEASES TWO NEW WINES

February 2007 (GENEVA, NEW YORK) — Belhurst Winery President Mr. Duane Reeder is proud to release two new Belhurst wines. The new wines, Belhurst Cabernet Franc Reserve 2003 and Neptune 2005, have been receiving rave reviews from samplers in the Belhurst Wine & Gift Shop.

The mild weather in 2003 captured the vibrant fruit character of our Cabernet Franc Reserve varietal. Garnet colored, this wine has vibrant red fruit abounding from the glass. Raspberry and a hint of cranberry define the fruit forward nature of this wine. Elegant and refined tannins that do not overwhelm the palate, however, provide length and finesse. A wonderful food friendly wine, the Cabernet Franc Reserve is a perfect compliment for the finest beef, filet mignon chateaubriand and game like venison. A brand new Belhurst blend, the Neptune, is an intriguing, fun-forward blend of Gewurztraminer, Pinot Blanc and Chardonnay, showing hints of honey, pear, vanilla and almond. The nose is light, but has scents of sea salt. A wine full of tropical flavors and long lasting aftertaste, the Neptune pairs well with creamy seafood dishes like lobster Newburg, New England clam chowder or oyster stew. A great sipping wine!
