BELHURST LAUNCHES BOAT CLUB'S SECOND
SEASON
May 18, 2006 (GENEVA, NEW
YORK) — Belhurst Vice President Kevin Reeder proudly announces the
second season kick off of the Belhurst Boat Club, following a hugely
successful first year.
Since the summer of 2005 the Belhurst Boat Club has been the topic of
many conversations at area marinas as boaters enjoy the improved
Belhurst dock and club benefits. This popular boating destination
receives many Seneca Lake boaters who wish to take a break from the
water and take in the charms of Belhurst. Any boater can become a member
of the free Belhurst Boat Club by stopping by Belhurst and registering
at the front desk.
“We invite every Finger Lakes boater to join our Belhurst Boat Club,”
explains Kevin Reeder. “This year we’re launching the club over Memorial
Day Weekend with great offers in Edgar’s, Stonecutters, and our Wine &
Gift Shop.”
Boaters may choose to dine in at Belhurst, amid awe-inspiring wood
carvings of Edgar’s in the Castle, or relax in the cooling atmosphere of
Stonecutters lounge, or they may take their treasures back to the boat.
In addition, boaters are invited to sample Belhurst’s award-winning
wines in the Belhurst Wine & Gift Shop and purchase their favorites to
bring back to the Lake.
Over one hundred years ago the original, elegant boathouse, built by
Carrie Collins to hold a 20-passenger gasoline propelled steam yacht,
was consumed by a fire. The new dock has been rebuilt directly over the
original boathouse footprint to create a modern dock which holds boats
of up to 65 feet in length.
Known for its charm, unique architecture, and stunning lake views, the
Belhurst properties include Belhurst Castle, originally built in 1885;
White Springs Manor, originally built around 1900; and the newest hotel
Vinifera Inn. The Reeder family acquired the Castle in 1992 with the
dream of offering Finger Lakes visitors the unique beauty, luxury and
romance of historical legend. Also included on the property are Edgar’s
– the restaurant in the castle, Stonecutters lounge, and Belhurst Wine &
Gift Shop. Belhurst has been voted One of the Most Romantic Places in
NYS, has won thirteen consecutive Awards of Excellence in the Wine
Spectator Restaurant Awards Program, has won many wine competition
medals for its Belhurst wine, and continues to be one of the most
beloved destinations in the Finger Lakes.
