BELHURST WINERY RELEASES TWO HISTORICAL WINES

June, 2007 (GENEVA, NEW YORK) — Belhurst Winery President Mr. Duane Reeder is proud to release two new Belhurst wines. The new wines, Carrie and Red serve as homage to the history of Belhurst and have been extremely popular with visitors to the Belhurst Wine & Gift Shop.

As a sweet blush wine, Carrie celebrates Carrie Collins, the original lady of Belhurst. With magnificent style and grace, Ms. Collins built Belhurst in 1889, creating quite an impression on Genevans. Carrie’s Belhurst on Seneca Lake became known for its beauty, charm and romantic legends which exist to this day. Crafted from a refined blend of Vinifera and Hybrid grapes, Carrie blush blends notes or ripe strawberries with fresh-cut watermelon. This fantastic sipping wine partners well with poultry dishes, cheese platters, and picnic favorites. Carrie blush wine is only available at the Belhurst Wine & Gift Shop and www.Belhurst.com for $15.95.

In a tribute to the “Squire of Belhurst,” Belhurst Winery has created Red, a lively and bold red wine blend. A self-proclaimed, “Smuggler, Bootlegger, and Gambler,” Red Dwyer was hailed as the Squire of Belhurst and was the first to envision opening Belhurst for public enjoyment. In 1933 his vision became reality and his establishment dazzled guests from all over with the finest cuisine, prohibition-era alcohol and a bustling casino on the 2nd floor. A palate-pleasing and sippable wine, Red pairs well with almost any casual dining dish. Red is only available at the Belhurst Wine & Gift Shop or www.Belhurst.com for $16.95.

To receive a complimentary tasting of the new Belhurst wines in our Wine & Gift Shop, press should contact Deborah Drago-Leaf for arrangements.
